In November, the continuation of the Russia-Ukraine war caused a power failure in some of Ukraine's regions, and many steel mills idled their production.

According to data from the Ukrainian steelmakers' association Ukrmetallurgprom, in November, Ukraine's crude steel output dropped by 1.6% month on month and plunged by 81.8% to 313,000 tons. Meanwhile, domestic pig iron production went down by 4.01% from the previous month and by 80.4% year on year to 335,000 tons. At the same time, Ukraine's steel production fell by 23.2% month on month and by 85.5% year on year to 222,000 tons.

In the first eleven months of this year, steel products output from Ukraine's steel mills was about 5.24 million tons, falling by 70.1% year on year.
