Ukraine's long steel imports increase in Jan-Nov

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the import volume of long steel products in Ukraine from January to November 2024 was around 164,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%.

During this period, the most imported products in Ukraine were angle steel, shaped, and special profiles, under HS code 7216, reaching 74,100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 55.5%. The import volume of rebar (HS 7214) was 411,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 32%. The import volume of other alloy steel bars (HS 7228) was 132,800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.1%.

The total import value for 11 months was approximately US$162.8 million, growing by 6.7% compared to the corresponding period a year ago.
