US’ bauxite imports drop in Q1

According to statistics, in the first quarter of 2020, the US imported around 775,000 tons of bauxite, dropping by 22.5% compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, while increasing by 3.61% from the same period a year ago.

Among them, Jamaica was still a main bauxite supplier for the US, with a total volume of 554,000 tons; followed by Leone, with a total volume of 116,000 tons. Guinea ranked third with 104,000 tons of bauxite supply to the US.
