US’ bauxite imports slide in Q2

According to statistics, the US' imports of bauxite totaled 644,000 tons in the second quarter of this year, falling by 12.5% compared to the preceding quarter and also sliding by 12.3% from the same period last year.
Among them, Jamaica was the main import source, with a supply of 637,000 tons, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 2.35%.
In the first half of 2022, the US imported a total of roughly 1.38 million tons of bauxite, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%.
