US’ crude steel output in week ending Jul 8 decreases

According to data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on July 8, the US’ production of crude steel was around 1.71 million net tons, falling by 1.7% week on week and slightly decreasing by 0.6% year on year.

During the period, the capacity utilization rate was 75.2%, a week-on-week decrease of 2.1%, and a year-on-year drop of 2.9%.

As of July 8, the adjusted year-to-date output of the US’ crude steel was around 46 million net tons, dropping by 2.8% year on year. In terms of the capacity utilization rate, it was 75.8%, decreasing by 4.2% year on year.
