US’ crude steel output in week ending Jun 24 increases

According to data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on June 24, the US’ production of crude steel was around 1.76 million net tons, increasing by 0.9% week on week and growing by 1.2% year on year.

During the period, the capacity utilization rate was 78.1%, a week-on-week increase of 0.6% but a year-on-year drop of 1.5%.

As of June 24, the adjusted year-to-date output of the US’ crude steel was around 42.5 million net tons, dropping by 2.9% year on year. In terms of the capacity utilization rate, it was 75.8%, decreasing by 4.5% year on year.
