US’ crude steel output in week ending May 25 increases

According to data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on May 25, the US’ production of crude steel was around 1.74 million net tons, increasing by 0.4% week on week but decreasing by 1.1% year on year. During the period, the capacity utilization rate was 78.1%, a week-on-week increase of 0.3% and a year-on-year growth of 0.2%.

As of May 25, the adjusted year-to-date output of the US’ crude steel was around 35.44 million net tons, decreasing by 2.7% year on year. In terms of the capacity utilization rate, it was 76.5%, decreasing by 1.4% year on year.
