US’ crude steel output in week ending Nov 4 decreases

According to data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on November 4, the US’ production of crude steel was around 1.7 million net tons, slightly decreasing by 0.5% week on week but increasing by 6.6% year on year.

During the period, the capacity utilization rate was 73.9%, a week-on-week decrease of 0.4% and a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.

As of November 4, the adjusted year-to-date output of the US’ crude steel was around 75.32 million net tons, slightly decreasing by 0.7% year on year. In terms of the capacity utilization rate, it was 75.8%, decreasing by 2.3% year on year.
