Statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) showed that the US exported nearly 70,000 tons of hot-rolled coils (HRC) in September, falling by 27% compared to the previous month and rising by 4.5% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 44,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 31.4% and a year-on-year hike of 2.4%. Canada ranked second with around 25,400 tons, and the exports to other countries were not significant.

During the period, the export value was roughly US$66 million, down by 23% month on month and by 2.4% year on year.
