US’ hot-rolled steel bar exports fall in Jun

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 34,000 tons of hot-rolled steel bars in June this year, decreasing by 20% compared to the previous month and also falling by 24% from the same month a year earlier.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 21,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 10.4% and a year-on-year drop of 13.2%. Canada ranked second with roughly 11,300 tons, and the exports to other countries were not many.

During the period, the export value totaled about US$60 million, down by 11.3% month on month and by 21.1% year on year.
