According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 29,000 tons of hot-rolled steel bars in March, a decrease of 6% compared to the preceding month and a drop of 4% from the same month of the previous year.
Among them, the delivery to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, with around 16,000 tons, a month-on-month drop of 9% and a year-on-year decrease of 6.5%. The second-largest destination was Canada with roughly 11,700 tons.
In terms of value, exports of these products amounted to approximately US$51 million, up by 1.8% month on month and down by 5.4% year on year.
