US' HR bar imports rise in Mar

According to the report, the US imported approximately 60,000 tons of hot-rolled bars in March, rising by 17.3% from a month ago while decreasing by 8.3% from the same month last year.

The import value was about US$53 million in March, compared to US$44 million in February and US$61 million in March 2019.

Among them, the US imported around 26,200 tons of hot-rolled bar from Canada, compared to 25,800 in the previous month and 25,400 tons in March a year ago.

The other major supplier included Japan (about 12,600 tons), Mexico (about 5,500 tons), Germany (about 3,000 tons), and China (with about 2,900 tons).
