US' iron ore imports plunge in Jul

According to the United States Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported approximately 280,000 tons of iron ore July this year, plunging by 65% from the same period a year ago.

The U.S. Steel company suspended the operation of the blast furnace equipment at Gary Plant in Indiana in July due to the impact of the COVID-19 and restarted it on August 1st.
