US’ line pipe exports grow in Jan

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported a total of around 6,400 tons of line pipe in January this year, soaring by nearly 110% compared to the previous month and increasing by 47.5% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to the UK accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 2,500 tons, surging from approximately 11 tons and 3 tons only in December 2021 and January 2021, respectively. Canada ranked second with an import value of around 1,700 tons. The exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.

During the period, the export value totaled about US$22 million, up by 174.1% month on month and by 133.7% year on year.
