The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) decided to maintain the anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on certain steel nails from South Korea, Malaysia, Oman, Taiwan, and Vietnam. According to an affirmative determination made by the USDOC and the US International Trade Commission, the cancellation of the existing AD and CVD measures on the subject goods from the five countries may lead to continuous injury and recurrence of dumping.
According to the result of the final ruling, the dumping margin for South Korea was set at 11.80%, Malaysia was 39.35%, Oman was 9.10%, Taiwan was 2.24%, and Vietnam was subject to 323.99%.
In terms of CVD, the subsidy rate for Vietnam’s Region Industries and United Nail Products was assigned at 288.56% and 313.97%, respectively, and that for other Vietnam’s exporters or producers was at 301.27%.
