US’ mechanical tube imports slide in Dec 2020

According to the final Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 26,200 tons of mechanical tubes in December 2020, sliding by 8.5% compared to the previous month and also going down by 35.8% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 10,100 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 15.65% and a year-on-year increase of 65.1%. The other import sources included Mexico (around 5,600 tons), Germany (around 1,900 tons), India (around 1,700 tons), and China (around 1,200 tons).
