US releases preliminary results of AD review on Indian stainless steel bar

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the preliminary results of its anti-dumping duty (AD) review on stainless steel bars from India, the period of review was from February 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024.

The DOC preliminarily determined that certain Indian companies exported stainless steel bars to the US at prices below normal value during that period. The following are the weighted average dumping margins for the listed companies.
• Atlas Stainless Corporation Private Limited, Astrabright LLP, Bahubali Steel Industries, Eurostahl Tech LLP, Venus Metal Corporation, Venus Wire Industries Pvt. Ltd., Precision Metals, Hindustan Inox Ltd., and Sieves Manufacturers (India) Pvt. Ltd.: 30.92%
• Ambica Steels Limited, Astrabite LLP, Laxcon Steels Limited and its affiliates, Ocean Steels Private Limited, Metlax International Private Limited, Parvati Private Limited, Mega Steels Private Limited, and Meltroll Engineering Pvt. Ltd.: 15.46%
• Aamor Inox Limited: 0%

Besides, the DOC plans to terminate the review of Bhansali Bright Bars and Chandan Steels Limited, as these two companies had no import records for the subject merchandise during the review period.

The final review results are expected to be announced within 120 days of the publication of the preliminary results.
