US’ rig number increases, Canada’s keeps flat

According to the report from Baker Hughes, as of the week ended November 6, the number of US’ drilling rigs totaled 300 units, rising by 4 units compared to a week ago. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas was down by 1 unit to 71 units; that for oil hiked by 5 units week on week to 226 units. The total number had a year-on-year decline of 517 units.

During the same period, the number of Canadian drilling rigs kept flat at 86 units compared to the previous week, totally decreasing by 54 units from the same period a year ago.
