US’ steel coils exports fall in Feb

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 36,400 tons of steel coils in February, falling by 15.4% compared to the previous month and also sliding by nearly 7% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 28,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 12.1% and a year-on-year drop of 7%. Canada ranked second with around 7,600 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.

The export value was approximately US$34 million during the period, down by 11.6% month on month and up by 6.3% year on year.
