US to impose 200% tariffs on aluminum from Russia

Recently, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was the first to say that the US Treasury will punish Russian individuals and companies by imposing significant sanctions. The US sanctions have a significant impact on Russia.

On February 24, the US Treasury announced in a new round of sanctions against Russia, 22 individuals and 83 legal entities to be imposed restrictions. The US trade department also expanded the list of high-value goods exported to Russia and Belarus, which now includes 276 items.

US President Joe Biden signed a statement that the US will begin to impose a 200% import duty on aluminum and aluminum products imported from Russia to the US, effective from March 10.
