India’s mining giant Vedanta reported that its primary aluminum production totaled 599,000 tons in the December quarter, rising by 6% compared to the same period a year ago.

Meanwhile, production at the alumina refinery in Lanjigarh grew by 6% year on year to 470,000 tons.

The global primary aluminum production is expected to increase significantly in 2024, and the transportation industry will be the main driver for the increase in demand.
