Vietnam's aluminum production is expected to increase by 800,000 tons once Vinacomin's aluminum mine development plan is approved.

The Vietnamese mining giant hopes to increase bauxite production by 23% at two mines and processing plants in the country's central highlands.

The output of alumina will rise to 150,000 tons per year. The two mines have reserved around 260 million tons.
