Walsin Lihwa, a stainless steel manufacturer in Taiwan, announced its new price for September yesterday.

Following Yieh United Steel Corp.'s (Yusco) new price, Walsin Lihwa announced to increase 304 stainless steel wire rods by NT$4,000/ton and 200 series by NT$1,000/ton for September. Also, the surcharge of 316L products was raised by NT$1,000/ton.

As for 400-series stainless steel, Walsin Lihwa decided to keep the prices flat.

Due to high raw material prices and Taiwanese dollar depreciation, Walsin Lihwa decided to reflect the new price for September. Meanwhile, many European customers have resumed work after summer vacations. It is expected that the demand will improve gradually.
