WBMS: Global primary aluminum market faces oversupply of 2.081 million tons in Jan-Nov 2020

According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global primary aluminum market faced an oversupply of 2.081 million tons from January to November of last year, compared to an oversupply of 448,000 tons in 2019.

In the first 11 months of this year, the global primary aluminum demand was 59.11 million tons, decreasing by 583,000 tons from the same period in 2019.

During the same period, the global primary aluminum production had a year-on-year increase of 2%.
