WBMS: Global primary aluminum market has oversupply of 1.546 million tons in 2020

According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global primary aluminum market had an oversupply of 1.564 million tons in 2020, compared to an oversupply of 462,000 tons in 2019.

In 2020, the global primary aluminum demand was 64.77 million tons, decreasing by 422,000 tons from the previous year.

During the same period, the global primary aluminum production had a year-on-year increase of 1%.
