Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd., one of the major wire rod manufacturers in Taiwan, maintained its prices of carbon steel wire rods for August. The price of 304 stainless steel wire rods was hiked by NT$2,000/ton, and the surcharge of 316 series was up by NT$2,000/ton as well.

The company said the decision was to moderately reflect cost increases amid the currently rising prices of raw material prices and Taiwan dollar exchange rate depreciation. However, it still considered market demand and downstream customer competitiveness, so the carbon steel wire rod price was kept unchanged.
