Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod price hit a record high over the past ten years in April due to the increasing nickel prices. The export volume has also remained above 10,000 tons for two consecutive months.

Therefore, it was expected that Yieh Hsing and Walsin Lihwa, two major stainless steel wire rod suppliers in Taiwan, will directly benefit from these factors. Not only did the revenue grow in April, but the profits of these two companies will also increase further.

In April, Yieh Hsing’s consolidated revenue totaled around NT$821.1 million, a year-on-year surge of 48.7%, hitting a new monthly high in four years. Walsin Lihwa's consolidated revenue in April was roughly NT$17.2 billion, up by 40.5% year on year, the second-highest in the same period over past years.
