Zhongwang Aluminum will prepare to resume primary aluminum production

Zhongwang Aluminum Co., Ltd., in north east of China which is one of the main aluminum producers, is planning to start the resumption of the operation of the remaining primary aluminum production capacity from the end of October and scheduled to complete the resumption by the end of this year.

The firm has a production capacity of 890,000 tons of primary aluminum currently. The capacity is now being operating 460,000 tons, and the remaining 430,000 tons of 320 500kA reduction cells were planned to be started at the end of October, which will be completed by the end of 2021.
