During a meeting held in Cairo, Egypt on May 24, 2023, Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world's largest aluminum smelter ex-China, expressed its willingness to strengthen integration and economic partnerships between Bahrain and Egypt.

The two countries discussed ways to have further cooperation and explore potential investment opportunities in the aluminum industry. The collaboration in bauxite production was one of the major topics in the meeting.
