Global alumina production drops in Apr

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global alumina production totaled 11.235 million tons in April this year, dropping by 3.3% from the previous month. The daily average production in April was 374,500 tons, compared to 374,900 tons in March.

In April, the estimated alumina production in China was 6.58 million tons. The output in Oceania was 1.587 million tons, and that in Africa and Asia, excluding China, was 1.08 million tons.
