Alpha HPA, a high-purity alumina (HPA) producer based in Australia, has obtained up to A$21.7 million from the Queensland government to support its Stage 2 operation of the first HPA project in Gladstone, eastern Australia.

Stage 1 of the facility is currently in expansion to produce a full range of high-purity alumina.

The A$300-million first HPA project will produce 10,000 tons of HPA per year and related high-purity precursor products by utilizing Alpha’s proprietary licensed solvent extraction and HPA refining technologies.
