Aluminium Bahrain's aluminum output exceeds target of 1.54 million tons in 2020

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world's largest aluminum smelter ex-China, reported that its aluminum output exceeded the target of 1.54 million tons in 2020, setting a record high at 1.5485 million tons, the highest value reached in the 50-year operation of the company, with a year-on-year increase of 13% compared to 2019.

Alba was founded in 1971, with an initial smelting capacity of 120,000 tons. The firm has a value-added product (VAP) portfolio, including foundry grade re-melt products, rolling ingots, extrusion ingots, and unalloyed re-melt products.
