Aperam hikes European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Jan

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, averagely hiked the alloy surcharge for its European austenitic stainless steel flat products by EUR 200/ton for January compared to the previous month.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 2,906/ton from December’s EUR 2,680/ton; that for 316 was increased to EUR 4,693/ton from EUR 4,264/ton in the previous month; that of 309S, used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was raised to EUR 4,041/ton from last month’s EUR 3,731/ton; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 was dropped to EUR 816/ton from EUR 851/ton of the previous month.
