Aperam lowers European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Apr

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, lowered its alloy surcharge for European austenitic stainless steel by approximately EUR 20/ton for April.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was dropped to EUR 1,822/ton from March’s EUR 1,846/ton; that for 316 was lowered to EUR 2,607/ton from EUR 2,629/ton in the previous month; that of 309S, used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was decreased to EUR 2,452/ton from the previous month’s EUR 2,511/ton; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 was raised to EUR 690/ton from EUR 365/ton of the previous month.
