Aperam raises European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Jan

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, raised its alloy surcharge for European austenitic stainless steel by nearly EUR 100/ton for January.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was raised to EUR 1,578/ton from December’s EUR 1,507/ton; that for 316 was hiked to EUR 2,257/ton from EUR 2,173/ton in the previous month; that of 309S, used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was increased to EUR 2,150/ton from the previous month’s EUR 2,058/ton; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 was raised to EUR 512/ton from EUR 478/ton of the previous month.
