ArcelorMittal Europe's steel production & shipment fall in Q4 & 2022

ArcelorMittal Europe's steel production totaled 31.9 million tons in 2022, falling by 13.3% compared to the previous year. The steel shipments dropped by 9% year on year to 30.18 million tons.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, ArcelorMittal Europe's steel production was 6.96 million tons, down by 13% quarter on quarter and by 19.3% year on year. The shipment of finished products during the period slid by 3.9% quarter on quarter and by 18.3% year on year.
The company said that the decrease in steel production in the fourth quarter and the whole year of 2022 was mainly due to more production cuts amid weak demand. However, production facilities across Europe are gradually resuming with recovered demand.
