ArcelorMittal halts steelmaking operations in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine

According to ArcelorMittal, the company has decided to halt the steelmaking operations in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, to ensure the safety of people and assets, following its previous production cut.

The production halt at all its blast furnaces started last Thursday (March 3). It required seven to ten days to safely idle these assets.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is the largest blast furnace steel company in Ukraine. The mill’s production accounts for around 20% of the total output in Ukraine.
