ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has produced 16 million tons of billets since it launched the first continuous casting machine (CCM) complex 13 years ago.

There was only one CCM in the company’s converter shop initially, and now the complex consists of three units.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s continuous casting department continued operations despite challenges caused by wars, power supply disruptions, significant deterioration in water quality used in technological processes, lack of qualified specialists, and so forth.

The company planned to overhaul CCM No. 1 in the future. Additionally, it uses a technology for the production of 160×160 mm billets and 150×150 mm billets.
