ArcelorMittal Poland has completed the renovation of blast furnace No. 2 at its Dąbrowa Górnicza plant. The modernization works were started at the end of March of this year.

With an investment of more than PLN 720 million, a new cooling system and a modern blast furnace gas treatment plant were constructed, and the coal lining in the hearth of the furnace was also replaced.

After the modernization, the company will reduce annual electricity consumption by nearly 400 MWh and annual carbon emissions by almost 45,000 tons.
