ArcelorMittal Poland temporarily suspends wire rod line at Sosnowiec plant

After an in-depth analysis of all options, ArcelorMittal Poland has decided to suspend the wire rod production line at its Sosnowiec plant due to the current difficult market situation. The stoppage will start on November 18 and end on November 26, 2023.

According to statistics, Poland’s domestic consumption of steel products in the first half of this year decreased by 19% year on year, and production fell by 20% year on year. Compared to other European countries, Poland was one of the countries with a big decline in steel production in the first half of the year.
