Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), a premium aluminum producer based in the UAE, announced the launch of the construction of the largest aluminum recycling plant in the country, with an expected completion within three years.

The aluminum recycling plant, located near EGA’s existing smelter in Al Taweelah, will have an annual production capacity of 170,000 tons. At the plant, post-consumer aluminum scraps such as used window frames and pre-consumer aluminum scrap from extrusion production will be processed into low-carbon, high-quality premium aluminum billets.

The low-carbon metal produced at the newly built plant will be named RevivAL, which will be supplied to local and global markets.
