ArcelorMittal receives 10 days extension from Italian govt to exhibit its industrial plan of Ilva factory

The Italian government agreed to allow ArcelorMittal, one of the giants of steel in the world, another 10 days to demonstrated its new industrial plan for its former Ilva plant and confirmed ArcelorMittal ’s intention to invest in Ilva before it.

The conclusion was drawn by the Italian government, ArcelorMittal, and local trade unions at the meeting on Monday.

Lucia Morselli, the CEO of ArcelorMittal, said that even in the predicament caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, ArcelorMittal hoped to fully implement its commitments. At present, they were making plans, which would take about 10 days.

Roberto Gualtieri, Minister of Economy in Italy, said that the Italian government was quite willing to invest in the former Ilva factory with a strong, productive, and great market leader, such as ArcelorMittal.
