According to the report, ArcelorMittal plans to upgrade its Jõao Monlevade steel plant in Brazil to improve production efficiency and environmental protection. This steel plant belongs to the long product sector and mainly produces industrial wire rods, with an annual production capacity of approximately 1.2 million tons.

ArcelorMittal purchased the latest 135-ton basic oxygen furnace (BOF) in August. The new equipment will significantly shorten production cycles and improve steel quality, which is expected to operate in the first quarter of 2025.
