According to the US' Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) documents, ArcelorMittal has delayed the completion time of its hot-rolled strip mill in Mexico from the second quarter of 2020 to 2021.

ArcelorMittal said the expansion plan was a part of the investment plan which announced in September 2017 and will let the Mexican subsidiary meet the growing needs of domestic customers.

This hot-rolled strip mill will produce 2.5 million tons of flat-rolled steel annually and will provide hot-rolled strip products to domestic customers, non-automotive customers and general clients.
