According to statistics released by the Argentinian steel association (Acero Argentino), Argentina’s crude steel production totaled around 459,000 tons in November 2022, falling by 6.9% compared to the previous month.

During the period, Argentina’s output of hot-rolled coil dropped by nearly 17% to 175,000 tons, that of cold-rolled coil slid by 25.6% to 85,800 tons, and that of long products was up by 4.7% to 217,000 tons, all year on year.

The association said that the country’s economy was mainly driven by the civil construction sector. The activities grew by 8.6% year on year in the period from January to November of 2022.

However, due to the expected severe dry season, the short-term perspective of the machinery and agricultural industries remained uncertain, but the energy field was expected to have a good outlook.
