Global alumina production slides in Nov

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global alumina production totaled around 11.59 million tons in November 2022, sliding by 3.13% compared to the preceding month but growing by 3.1% from the year-ago level.
Among them, China’s alumina production reached 6.7 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 3.32% and a year-on-year hike of 10.11%.
In the first 11 months of 2022, global alumina production amounted to 127.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.64%. China contributed 72.3 million tons, up by 5% from 65.85 million tons in the same period a year ago.
