Argentine crude steel production grows in Jan

According to data from the Argentinian steel association, Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA), Argentina produced around 371,000 tons of crude steel in January this year, falling by 4.5% compared to the previous month while hiking by 24.3% from the same month a year earlier.

During the period, the production of hot-rolled finished steel was roughly 411,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.7% and a year-on-year hike of 41.5%; that of cold-rolled sheets was around 139,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of nearly 10.0% and a year-on-year rise of 15.7%.
