The Australian Anti-dumping Commission (ADC) initiated the anti-dumping (AD) investigation on Vietnam, China, Taiwan, and South Korea, and countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on Vietnam, both regarding some aluminum-zinc coated steel products.

It was requested by Australian BlueScope Steel Limited. The ADC started the probe on the two cases of aluminum-zinc coated steel products with a width of less than 600mm (China and Vietnam) and equal to or greater than 600mm (Taiwan, South Korea, and Vietnam).

The HS codes for products are 7210.60 and 7225.99. The investigation period was from April 1st, 2019 to March 31st, 2020, and the injury analysis period started from April 1st, 2016.

The Trade Remedies Authority, assigned by the Vietnam government in assisting businesses, asked recommends related associations, steelmakers, and exporters to cooperate with the ADC, such as on-site investigations for questionnaire.
