Australian Altech Chemicals building high purity alumina plant in Malaysia

It was reported that Altech Chemicals Limited has started its construction of a high purity alumina (HPA) plant, with an annual output of 4,500 tons, in Tanjung Langsat Industrial Park, Johor, Malaysia.

The plant will make HPA 99.99% purity (4N) with traditional equipment. The cost of production was not high. Kaolin, the raw material for the production, was supplied by a company in Meckering, Western Australia.
