Australian aluminum industry facing difficulty amid shrinking demand & high electricity costs

According to Miles Prosser, the secretary general of the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), with a worldwide reduction in demand due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Australian aluminum industry is facing difficulty since the local aluminum producers have to face high electricity costs at disadvantage compared to other countries.

Prosser thought that the Australian aluminum industry would have opportunities if the government could strengthen the plans of the energy market and control electricity prices rightly.
